Oratory Of Colubraia
The Oratory of Colubraia is located in the small village of Figgiano, right on the border with the Province of Arezzo (Tuscany), at about 1000 m above sea level. It is a small church in which it is possible to admire the frescoes of Bruno Radicioni, a very famous artist from Fano whose paintings are exhibited in New York, Toronto, Moscow, Paris, Rome, Milan and at Montreal airport. In a particular period of his life Radicioni felt the need to retire here in Figgiano and painted a very particular Christ with Saints: all the faces of the apostles are taken from coalmen, woodcutters and inhabitants of the village. In addition to the frescoes of the Oratorio della Colubraia, other works of his that testify to his love for these places are found hanging on the walls of the Il Ginepro farmhouse and the small church of Santa Lucia.
